  • LA Pet Fair 2025

    The club will have a booth at the LA Pet Fair. We encourage our members to check it out. We are also looking for display tanks and volunteers. Priority goes to people who can bring at least 1 display.

    THE HIGHLIGHTS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
    - It would be helpful for you to confirm when you'll be able to volunteer and/or if you will be providing display tank(s). The more info we have, the better we can all coordinate. Please post in this thread.

    - Park via GATE 17
    - Setup Fri afternoon is HIGHLY recommended. SCAPE Booth will be ready to start setup around 1pm. I plan to be there until about 7pm but you can continue setup until 9pm. I will have areas indicated where things can go so you can drop stuff off even if I'm not physically there.
    - Setup Sat morning starts at 6am but needs to be 100% DONE by 9am. That means DONE and CLEANED UP. Do not be the person still filling tanks or hooking up equipment at 9am. I will likely get there around 8am Sat.
    - If you sell at our booth, you are expected to make a donation to the club. This is being done on an honor system with no specific details/requirements. If you do well, we hope you will help cover booth costs. We/SCAPE paid full price for the booth space.
    - You will need wrist bands to enter the show. Again, these are not free to the club, we PAY for these. By default, contact me (text is best) at 213-247-3365 and I will meet you at the gate/entrance area. Be patient. I am doing a lot of running around and it may take me 15min to get back outside. I may recruit the help of someone else to run back and forth. If you're willing/interested in doing this, please let me know.
    - There should be power available in our booth. I would recommend you bring extension cords and power strips if you will need power. Don't rely on others.
    - DO NOT start breaking down the booth area until the show is over at 5pm on Sunday. If you're selling stuff, please consolidate/clean your area throughout the weekend.
    - There is a fundraiser auction Sat evening for USARK. If you're available, this is a very fun event that helps a great cause. More info below.

    SATURDAY 10AM – 5PM

    There is VIP access 1 hour earlier than times posted above.

    WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO COME ON FRIDAY FOR SET-UP (Saturday will be very busy from 6am-9:30am)

    MOVE IN INSTRUCTIONS FOR FRIDAY June 27th:
    BOOTH SET-UP ENTRANCE: Gate 17 (see attached map) ALL VENDORS WILL PARK IN GATE 17

    SET-UP MOVE IN TIMES FOR VENDORS:
    SET-UP Friday June 27th is as follows:

    Aquarium Building 6 @ 6am – 9pm (Friday June 27th recommended)
    Saturday June 28th 6am-9am
    Sunday June 29th 9:30-11am

    USARK After Party and Auction will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday night at out new location AVALON BAR & GRILL located in the parking lot in front of the Reptile Super Show (Building 4). We will have a nice big seating area and cash bar, great food and an amazingly fun time. It is just a 3 minute walk from the LA PET FAIR. If you are parking at the Fairplex you can leave your car there until you leave the USARK Auction/Afterparty.

    MOVE OUT:
    You should already be parked in the Fairplex lots at Gate 17. DO NOT MOVE YOUR CAR. Bring stuff to your car and bring a dolly, it will make things a lot easier. Move out on Sunday June 29th will be at 5:30 or when all the public / guests have exited the buildings and walking areas​​​​

      I have a 16S and 2 16T's for the table. Everyone bring extension cords and power strips. None will be provided and power is based out of 4 outlets in a sub base under the floor.

        How many tanks will we have at the booth? I have a couple available. Can we make a list .
