David Huie is an avid killifish hobbyist who helped found the San Diego Killifish Group (SDKG), a Southern California satellite of the American Killifish Association (AKA). David has been keeping fish seriously since the early 70's, studied biology in the late 70’s, and worked in a tropical fish store during the early 80’s. From 1980 to the early 2000s, David participated in several conservationist collection teams, traveling to Mexico to save endemic killifish. David has been a member of the San Diego Tropical Fish Society since the 80’s and is a past board member.
