PV ITALY Ceramic Pottery Orvieto Rooster Oil & Vinegar Cruet Set with Black Rod Iron Holder. Signed “PV Italy 4678.” Pottery Deruta, Italy. They are vintage 1960s, very collectible & hard to find, please note the small chip repair under the oil spout described below. One is signed, but they are a matched set from estate sale. Both beautiful for display sitting in a lovely blk rod iron stand. The white glaze brings out the turquoise Orvieto Roosters hand painted motif. The small ceramic stoppers are also painted and original.
*The oil pitcher had a chip repair on the underside of lip, see photos.
Both were thoroughly soaked in white vinegar, baking soda & Dawn, to assure cleanliness. I got most of the stains out from the lids, the inside of both pitchers are completely clean. They are a lovely cruet set considering age & use—and the rod iron holder has a nice loop on top to carry set or display.
